Dr. Jane Stewart grew up in Manitoba, but now calls a farm in Saskatchewan home. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she did a year-long internship at Wisconsin Equine Clinic and Hospital. In 2012 she began working at a clinic in Regina. She joined the Vet to Pet team in June of 2025.
The thing Dr. Stewart loves most about working in veterinary medicine is the variety of each day and being able to meet and build relationships with the community.
Outside of work, Dr. Stewart’s family is a horse family! She barrel races, her husband ropes, and she has 2 children who are learning to do both. She spends her winters in the hockey rink, so either season she is in an arena of some sort!
Dr. Stewart has one very active border collie, as well as many horses. How many horses she has is a fluid number – she tries not to count!
If Dr. Stewart could be any animal she would be a house cat – they seem to have everything figured out!
